It was only 100 years after independence of Brazil that a group of artists and intellectuals declared its cultural independence from Europe, tradition and academia. Their effort to redefine the artistic language of Brazil built upon a strong interest in national issues that stood out after the 1930s, such as industrialization, massive migration and urbanization.
In this program you will see some of the finest works from the Brazilian modernist movement.

*Program fees are are for private walking tours (up to 1,5 Km) with groups of up to four people and include museum entrance tickets. Tours for larger groups can be arranged for an additional fee of USD25,00 per person. Private transportation can also be arranged at an additional cost.
